Being a Wedding Photographer is definitely interesting and I have to say that I’ve had some great experiences. Sometimes I think that If I had the patience I could write a small book from the stuff that I’ve experienced in the past 13 years of photography.
One thing that I’ve been wanting to do for a while is to shoot a live proposal. I knew it would happen one day but I didn’t expect it to happen the way that it did.
Around a month ago I got contacted from someone from Mexico that said that he wanted to set up photo and video coverage of his friends proposal in NYC right before NYE. Monica and Alejandro was coming in from Mexico for New Years and Alejandro felt that this was a great chance to surprise Monica with a proposal. After two weeks of emailing and phone calls back and forth the plan was set and I left Albany to head down to Midtown Manhattan. Our groom-to-be Alejandro wanted to propose on the windy top of the Empire State Building so when the time came we made our way up to the top to get into position. We waited till they got to the top and I think we were almost as nervous as Alejandro was.
Below is our future groom getting the ring ready….she had no idea!
Of course she said yes…..pretty exciting stuff
Monica showing off the rock!
These guys were so excited they had to call their family in NY and Mexico to tell them the good news…
When were walking down 34th St people kept asking if we were shooting celebs..
After we got down by Herald Square we had to do a quick engagement session!
Monica’s mom was so excited she had to come out and meet us..
This was one of the most exciting things that I got to do in 2011! If you like this one like I do please share it!
I would like to have a copy of this, exactly the way it is with your commentes etc, etc,
