I hope that everyone is enjoying this time of year with their family and friends. This time of year for us involves wrapping up all of the weddings and engagement sessions that we have shot throughout the year. Quite a few couples decided to brave the cold this winter so we did more shooting than normal this time of year. So, we still have a few more blogs coming to you as we go through the new year.
One couple that braved the cold this winter to get hitched was Lisa and Billy who had their wedding and reception at the Colonie Elks Club in Latham (why isn’t it in Colonie?). We had a great time with them, especially during their formal photos. They were naturals and for the most part we just let them interact with each other and be themselves.
We did a “first look” so that we could get most of their photos done before the ceremony. This was definitely a good move since it was pitch black outside of the Elks Club after the ceremony. After dinner it seemed like everyone wanted to get on the dance floor and party. Good stuff…that’s what we like to see.
We had to get some shots of the kids!
Our groom, Billy ready for his bride…
I love watching “first looks”…Those facial expressions are priceless!
This one below was probably my favorite of the day…
There were definitely plenty of candy to make you feel like a kid again (oh, yeah…I forgot what mixing candy and soda can do to you..wow)
Baseball cake-toppers were pretty popular this year….fun stuff!
Oh yeah!…they had a good time!
You gotta love the emotion in these parent dances…
Party time!
