A few weeks back I was finally back at Hiland Park Country Club in Queensbury after not shooting a wedding there for around five years. The last time I was there I was still working a day job and I was still a little new to the Capital District. I didn’t even really understand what Queensbury was but I found out quickly that it was nothing like the borough of Queens. Yeah…plenty of time has passed and many things have changed. In a matter of fact the last wedding there was for a co-worker so I was a Photographer and guest.
Am I rambling again?….Well, I’m writing this at 2AM so i guess that’s what happens… but thanks for bearing with me taking a trip down memory lane for a minute.
So, on to Shannon and Eric’s big day. The funny thing is that I never met Shannon before until that day but though emails and phone conversation I expected this Bride and Groom were going to have a great wedding day. We started the day at The Roosevelt Inn in Saratoga for bridal prep and then headed to Hiland for more pics and of course the wedding!
As usual, we took a few formal photos before the ceremony…
I see this from time to time..Shannon and Eric wrote letters to each other before the ceremony….What a great moment!
Nice setup at the Hiland. Their Wedding Planner, Nicole Meyers did a great drop with this stuff.
We took a ton of formal photos even though we got rained on a few times!
There was such a great sunset out that we had to sneak away for 15 minutes…formals Part II!
What a great time shooting at the Hiland…Looking forward to shooting there again soon!
Shannon stepped away to change into her party dress…
Second shooter, Kevin stuck around (such a trooper!) to get this end of the night shot as our couple headed out
I really liked this one…if you did too drop us a comment or “like” it below!
