On an extra warm day in July I had the pleasure of shooting wedding photos for Cara and Cody. Our day started at the bride’s family house in Watervliet. I love the happiness that you see in a bride’s eyes before the wedding and I really saw that in Cara.
After spending a little time getting preparation photos and a few shots with the family we headed over to United Methodist Church in Troy for a quaint ceremony.
We made our way to the Colonie Elks Club in Latham for a little formal photography using their outdoor scenery. I didn’t realize the Elks Club had such a nice wide open area that could be used for photography. We took a few by a barn in the back because a really liked how the bright red worked in the photos. Before we went in for the reception we took a few in front of the gazebo. The evening wrapped up with a great reception that was filled with dancing and a happy bride and groom.
Below is my favorite photo of the bunch. It was a very sunny day and I tried to avoid it but then I realized that there was a nice “kiss” of sun coming through the trees.
