Each blog post is bitter-sweet because each one brings me closer to the end of the wedding season for 2010. Bitter because I love shooting weddings, sweet because I have a moment to breath, reflect and try to think of some new and interesting things that I can do for 2011 (I cant get complacent…every year has to be better!). I love being a Wedding Photographer and it’s the best career in the world but the break is well appreciated. With August till October overflowing in weddings I forgot what a weekend was. Well, this wedding that started in Albany brought me just a little closer to the bitter (sweet?) end. I have one more wedding to blog about for the year (well, 2 if I get a last-minute one in December) and a few engagement sessions to post, so there’s still more that I have to share this year.
So, after getting some preparation shots at Ashley’s parents house in Waterford we headed over to St John’s in Albany for the ceremony. This was another great October day for a wedding with clear skies and great weather, so it worked out well when we went a Golf Course in Troy for formal photos.
Ashley and Rick were a great couple to work with and I wish them and their family the best…
Wedding slippers are so sweet and simple, but I really like the way that Ashley’s slippers just sitting in front of the window worked in this photo…
I love church’s with balcony’s because I can get a birds-eye’s view of the ceremony…
Lakes at golf courses always work well…One of my favorites from the day…the clouds in the background was a nice touch..Of course..we had to do a fun shot with these guys!
Tender moment with the bride and her dad…
