I always say that one of the coolest things that happens in the Wedding Photography business is referrals. If someone likes what you do enough to brag to their friends and family then it’s a great compliment. The other thing that’s pretty cool is when I shoot a wedding and a member of the bridal party contacts me for their own wedding. That means that they have seen me in action on a wedding day and got to know me a little and they still want to work with me…go figure. Seriously, I’m honored when someone wants me to be part of their big day..even more so when it’s because they’ve seen me in action already.
This was the case when I met Antony who was the best man and cousin of Carlos from February’s wedding (flashback photo is below but you can check out the whole blog here). Tara and Carlos’ definitely had a great wedding two months ago…. they were a fun couple with a fun bridal party. So, I was happy that after their wedding, Antony’s future bride, Claudia was calling me about their wedding plans.
Antony and Claudia have a big wedding planned for back home in DR (Dominican Republic) but they wanted to get hitched right here in the Capital District first. They wanted to keep this one small and intimate…only a few close friends and family.
So, we started off at a hotel in Latham for bridal prep photos then headed to Albany for their formals and wrapped up with their ceremony and reception in Clifton Park. Besides dealing with wind that had a mind of it’s own it was a beautiful day out for photos.
Antony all ready to see his bride for the first time…
I love these “first looks”
Nice emotional moment….
Now on to the ceremony…
Haha..good job with that cake Antony
