We can’t control what type of weather we’re going to have on a wedding day. As a Wedding Photographer, I’ve tried and tried but I have been unable to stop the rain from falling on any couples big day. But, what I can do is figure out ways to get nice bridal photos on a soggy day. Diana & Nate’s Glen Sanders Wedding was supposed to be a soggy one so we planned for the worst and headed down the road to Proctors Theatre in Schenectady for an indoor “first look”. In the past we’ve been able to get some great photos right in the lobby of this building so this was a great rainy day plan. Surprisingly, when we got in front of Proctors the sun came out (nice!) so we took pics right outside on State St. This worked out perfectly since we were able to get some photos with the old-fashioned buildings of downtown Schenectady and then get back to Glen Sanders Mansion for a few more photos before the ceremony. It was amazing that a day that was so dreary earlier became clear enough for Diana and Nate to have the outdoor ceremony that they had their hearts set on. At the reception everyone partied it up and had a great time. As usual we took our bride & Groom out for a few quick night photos. When we came back inside the Reception was still going strong and we even saw a few dance floor handstands (seriously….check out the pics).
