A fun couple and a beautiful day outside….What more can a photographer ask for on a wedding day? This was great because I got to know Melissa and Ed quite a bit before their wedding. First, Melissa was in the bridal party from the Halloween Wedding from 2009 (you can see it at https://dexphotos.com/blog/?p=271 ). Then, earlier this year we got some really fun engagement photos at Washington Park in Albany(you can see those at https://dexphotos.com/blog/?p=553 ).

I like to get to know the couple before the day because they get used to me and start to feel more comfortable with me. Being in photos and posing normally can be so nerve racking , but when you know your photographer and his shooting style things become more relaxed. This wedding motivated me to include engagement photo sessions with all wedding packages now.

So, this day started with pre-ceremony photos in Middle Grove, NY at the family’s home. Then we headed over to Schuylerville for the ceremony (same church that was used at the Halloween wedding). The reception was at the Auto Museum in Saratoga; a nice place for weddings that most people forget about. Well, before making their entrance into the reception we took some formal photos outside.  I really liked this wooded area for these shots….I even liked the brick wall that was tucked away in the corner!
