Due to a very busy (and exhausting) schedule lately, this is the first wedding photo post that we’ve been able to put up in a few weeks. We’ve been working hard completing our new photography studio in Albany so, you can imagine that I was anxious to take a small break from that and blog one of our recent weddings.
This one was on St Patty’s Day and appropriately enough our bride and groom Patricia and Art used that as their wedding theme. From green bride’s maids dresses to cloverleaf napkins this was was a St. Patty’s wedding all the way (no leprechauns though).
Pat loved the idea of doing formals at Guptials Skating Rink in Latham since that was a place she loved to go to years ago. It made me have a nostalgic moment and think back to my teenage years at The Skate Key in the Bronx putting on those rental skates that just never smelled right…sorry..I got sidetracked.
So, I’m a Photographer that’s always up for anything so I was expecting our couple to be on roller skates and at first that seemed exciting. But, a few days before the wedding I envisioned a really bad skating ring accident that involved shattered camera equipment. So, I was happy to hear that Pat and Art weren’t going to be on skates and we just used the place as our backdrop.
The wedding and reception was taking care of by our friends at Michael’s Banquet House in Latham, which was interesting since we were there the next day for another wedding. Look out for that blog coming next week!
Pat and Art wanted to do a “first look” at Guptials so that they could get their formals done early…
Definitely my favorite shot of the day. Who knew a skating rink could have such cool architecture?
I love the classic cars at this place!
So, we headed to Michael’s to take a few more pics..
These guys had a great time with Karaoke

My husband, Mike Mallery (the karaoke guy) and I are proud to be family!! It was a truly magical wedding! The best part was that Michael’s Banquet House did an amazing job with the ceremony and dinner!! Again, thanks for the wonderful photos and the long-lasting memories! – Denise Mallery
