Despite getting rained on while taking photos outside (I’ll get back to that) this wedding worked out perfectly. Shannon and Bob were a fun couple to work with and they loved taking photos. Not to mention we had a great venue to shoot their wedding formals at. I feel that the Old Daley Inn at the Crooked Lake is one of those hidden “gems” in the Albany area. I could shoot there for hours and I would love every moment of it!
The day started with photos at our bride’s family house in Nassau, then a ceremony at the Holy Spirit Church in East Greenbush. At this point I figured that the rain was going to hold till we were done with the formal pics at the Crooked Lake in Averil Park. Uhhhhh….No. I figured wrong. You can’t tell by the photos but while we were shooting by the lake the sky suddenly dumped a bucket of water on all of us (ok, I can laugh about it now). Anyway, Shannon and Bob were troopers and we were able to make use of the stone deck for a few minutes until the rain slowed down. We loved shooting on the deck, just another great spot to use at this great venue.
So, let’s see….great couple, great venue….what more could a Photographer ask for?
We loved the setup at the Crooked Lake House. Great decor and so wide open…
Those are some cool cake toppers…
Great bridal party entrance!
This was a serious party…great job by Conway Entertainment!
Of course our couple was up for a few night shots…
