Every year I blog about how bitter-sweet shooting the last wedding of the year is. Being a Wedding Photographer is a stressful and exhausting job we love to doing it. I never know if I should be excited to get a break or sad to not be shooting a wedding till the next year.  The last wedding that I shot in 2014 was no different. I had mixed feelings about it being 2014’s finale, but It did help to have a fun Bride and Groom and a wacky bridal party. We had a great time shooting Nicole and Jeff’s  Sixty State Place wedding in Albany. After we grabbed some “getting ready” shots we all met up at the bar in Jacks Oyster House (great food there) for our couples “first look”. We love watching first looks and it was nice to see a different twist on this one. Nicole and Jeff got married on one of the coldest day of the year but they were still bold enough to head outside for a few photos. We also took advantage of the great design inside of 60 State for some pics of our Bride and Groom. From a cool staircase, a vault and keys hanging from the ceiling there were plenty of options for a Photographer there (oh yeah, the bathroom has pennies on the floor). We love shooting night photos in downtown Albany so of course we came back outside with the newlyweds to finish the evening with some night shots. What a great wedding to wrap up the year!
