I noticed lately that fall weddings have been in high demand . From a wedding photographer’s standpoint this is great since this is the only time of year to get those vibrant colors.

Well, we started Jackie an Dan’s wedding day in Latham to get a few preparation photos then headed over to the Crossings in Colonie ( Albany) for an outdoor ceremony. So, it was really convenient to get the formal photos there after the ceremony. The crossings has a lot more to offer for photography than I realized. There was plenty to work with from the great lakeside view to the classic boardwalk look.

The reception at Michael’s Banquet House in Latham was a fun one with the bride and groom’s family and firefighter co-workers keeping things lively.

This was one of those shots that I would have missed if I was just a second off. Jackie actually just turned to hear someone talking to her.

Are these guys cool or what?

This shot seemed like everyone’s favorite on facebook. It’s great when you can successfully shoot facing the sun which is usually a photography no-no.

I had to get  a shot of the bridal party table at Michael’s before everyone came in.

It was pretty cool to have Dan and Jackie’s helmets on the cake table…

…even cooler to have a shot of them wearing them.

This kiss was so passionate and un-posed that I had to include it.

I had to end with this shot of the groom dancing with his daughter (an awwww..moment)
