I just spent the whole day finishing the edit on these wedding photos and getting a few ready to post here and I just thought to myself..”what motivates a Photographer decide to shoot Wedding Photography?” It’s not the most glamorous form of photography…I never get to go to Venice to shoot models that wear fragrances that I can’t pronounce. Nor do I shoot fashion photos in the afternoon and get to rub elbows with “A-Listers” that I don’t like.

Seriously, who cares about all of that…Wedding Photography is the most fulfilling work that I could ever imagine doing for one good reason…heart. We get to shoot people on the most heartfelt emotional day of their lives. This stuff is priceless and I know that if I bring a smile to a couple and their family that I have done something special. I’ll take that over a glamorous fashion shoot any day!

So, we had the pleasure of shooting photo and video for Laurie and Matt’s Wedding a month or so ago in Albany and Latham. Since, they were from out of town I didn’t really get to know them much before the wedding but they were a fun couple on the wedding day. We finished up the day at Michael’s Banquet House (btw…they have one of the most friendliest, accommodating staff there).

Overall, a great day…who needs Venice?
