As photographers, we find that every session brings its own unique spark, but Michaela and Connor’s engagement shoot at Albany’s historic Million Dollar Staircase truly felt magical, like something out of a fairy tale.

 

We met in the evening, just as the sunlight began to filter through the grand windows of the New York State Capitol. The golden hour glow set the perfect stage, illuminating the intricate stonework and casting a romantic ambiance over every moment. Michaela’s laughter echoed beautifully off the marble, and Connor’s quiet smiles made for some of our favorite candid shots of the evening.

 

There’s a certain magic that comes from photographing a couple in love, especially in a place as iconic as the Million Dollar Staircase. The sweeping staircases and ornate details provided a dramatic and elegant backdrop, allowing Michaela and Connor’s personalities to shine through with each frame.

 

Their chemistry was undeniable, and it makes me incredibly excited for their upcoming wedding this fall at The Vista at Van Patten Golf Club.
