I enjoyed that last wedding photo blog because it was a chance to just showcase some freestyle formal photos, but it’s nice to show off a full wedding day. I was excited for this one because we were shooting at a great venue with a great couple. I suggested to Stephanie and Joe that they should do a “first look” before the ceremony since they wanted to enjoy their cocktail hour (my kind of people!). I told them that it’s a great way to see each other before the ceremony without a room full of people….definitely a more intimate moment. True..it’s not that traditional to see each other before the wedding, but we’ve done “first looks” before and the couples were not doomed for eternity as some may think.
We started nice and early to get our detail and bridal prep shots at Glen Sanders Mansion and then headed outside for formal photos hoping that we didn’t get rained on. Well, the weather held up and we had a great time working with the bride and groom.
Special thanks to Sarah D’Alberto for second shooting this one…

Great job Dexter! I plan to have the main photo of us on your blog made into a canvas for us to put up in our house. Truly a work of art! You did such a good job with the candid shots! Joe and I spent one day laughing hysterically and reminiscing about the wedding. can’t wait to put our album together. The only problem will be which pictures to choose! There are so many great ones!
