As a photographer, every wedding tells a new story, but Amanda and Jan Carol’s wedding at The Desmond was truly out of this galaxy. The day was a perfect blend of spring romance and Star Wars magic, set against the timeless charm of The Desmond Hotel—a venue as full of character as the couple themselves.

 

From the moment we arrived, the air was electric with excitement. The ceremony took place beneath a canopy of twinkling lights, with sunlight streaming through the windows and casting a soft gold glow on the room. Amanda was glowing, and Jan Carol’s eyes shimmered with tears and joy as they exchanged vows, promising to be each other’s co-pilots through life’s adventures.  

 

One of the standout moments was the epic light saber bridal party photoshoot, where Amanda, Jan Carol, and their closest friends wielded glowing sabers, striking playful Jedi poses that brought the Star Wars theme to life. The reception hall was transformed with Star Wars décor—think star-studded centerpieces, themed signage, and subtle galactic touches throughout the room. Later in the evening, Amanda and Jan Carol surprised everyone as their first dance evolved into a light saber duel, delighting their guests with their choreography and sense of fun. The energy continued when both families took to the dance floor for a lively bachata, blending cultures and generations in a moment of pure joy.
