As a Wedding Photographer, one of the most common questions that I’m asked is “how do brides find you?”. I usually answer that it’s most commonly by word of mouth, bridal shows, online and sometimes I’m contacted by people that I know. Well, that was the case for this wedding. Shanelle’s family has a historic business in Albany called Taysha Florist (yeah, yeah..cheap plug) which provides flowers for many weddings in the area. We even worked together on a wedding down in Long Island last year. So, automatically Shanelle thought of us when she decided to get hitched.

It only happens here and there but it’s great to shoot a wedding for someone you already know. I think it’s really great for the couple too. A wedding is a really intimate event when you really think about it, so what’s better than having one of your friends who is a professional photographer capture those precious moments?

Shanelle and Angelo decided to have a rooftop sunset wedding at Taste Restaraunt in downtown Albany. I really think this place is like an undiscovered gem in Albany with great food and a rooftop that’s great for parties and weddings. We had a really great time getting nighttime shots on the roof with the lights of the city below. When you go there, just don’t look down….
